alot of things have moved around recently - these links just dump us to the main thwack page.
-
Can you share?
-
sorry - you used an ASA query on your Palo and you got back connected vpn users? The only thing you modified was the node ID?
-
can you elaborate on what you created here?
-
That can work. Thank you!

Are there still folks working on getting this done? I am finding that I get more info from syslog and snmp traps than I can with simple polling. Polling with a WMI or PING is not always reliable, and we get alot of false alarms on our SQL servers. Bringing the TRAPS/SYSLOG into the NPM is a must. I am surpised, since this…

thanks for the SQL info - it probably is my UDT settings. We have a lot of 24/48 port switches, and with the way NPM /UDT is configured, i think we are only "monitoring" ethernet ports that are trunks/uplinks or specific servers. UDT is not showing/seeing ALL the ports on a switch, since I dont want to monitor (in NPM) an…

well, its now 2009. I still dont see full support in the Engineering toolkit for v3. Can we get updates on the status please?
-
Hate to bring up a "dead" topic, but just came across a need for this report. While the report is exactly what I am looking for, its only reporting on 20 of my 200 nodes. Any thoughts as to why?

I know you said you would get it added to a feature list, but this is really restricting the ability to use the mobile views feature of 10.1 for us. Any chance we can get a manual work around, or is this hard-coded in a .exe or something?
-
No worries - While we are on the subject of using this variable - I am trying to use ${Node.NodesDetailsURL} and ${APM:ComponentDetailsURL} as part of our email alert - and all I get is a text (non-clickable) link - how do I make this clickable? The ${AcknowledgeURL} works perfectly, btw..
-
did you get this fixed? I am on version 10.0 and have this issue. thanks.
-
Well, your right - I was constantly looking at the Config Manager page, not Performance! LOL.. Thanks!
-
Oh, we do - forgot we had samplcator - probably because once you set it up, you don't have to worry about it.
-
I am doing the EXACT same thing, and having similar errors.
-
ARG! The controllers only let you have 1 Netflow exporter! haha. that's already being sent to Cisco Prime! oh well.
-
Both. I am attempiting to evaluate it along with NPM. I talked with Mav earlier today and it may be related to I am using windows 2008 64bit R2 as my host OS. Since its an eval, and not part of the quote I am working on, its not a big deal. I think by the time I get to the point where I can add NCM to my budget, youll have…

hate to resurrect a old topic, but I would like to see this too.

I gave up on this. I couldnt make it work, and since im not a DBA, I dont have time to learn how to make something like this work, when in my opinion, it should have been part of the package from the get go. maybe the next Service pack will have it, but this is really a thorn in my side. If anyone has taken this on, and…

the search functions on this site are horrible. Can you link to your UDP download? I have not been able to find it.
-
Will get it logged. If you could change it, what would you change it to, just out of curiosity. Your question indicates that users will not have an option in the text, which is not good. If we are forced to use canned text, do not abbriviate, and make it more professional. Add proper capitalization, grammer, etc. "To…

yup - an easy test would be to plug a laptop into a switch you are expecting to see it from. You can also keep the viewer up and running and watch the messages scroll by so you can snag the exact text your looking for - the more specific you are, the better.
-
Nope. BTW - I was able to sucessfully remove a couple of interfaces, and re-poll/re-discover the node, and it worked as expected. Thanks everyone for suggestions.
-
Interesting - I just looked at my main search again - and, well, I havent looked at it in some time - I only remember seeing Node and IP - but I see now what you are referring to. I do not see a "Machine Type" either.
-
and what release would that be? I have just purchased v9.5 (december 2009) and still dont see that somewhere. Is it hidden? Please advise. 99% of my devices are configured to reject telenet sessions.

every single time they ask us about features/things we want, people ask for a better advanced alert editor.. I have seen 4 versions now, and nothing has been done about this thing. it might be a feature request, but its getting ignored.
-
Same for me. I have the RC for NPM and SAM, but not NTA.

Case #207021 was created this morning. I also added 2 other items about the advanced alerts email option that sticks in my craw - 1. The "Acknowledge this alert" issue that is already in the forums 2. I cant use html code in the emails 3. (my biggest issue) Lack of formatting of any kind in the email. 1 and 3 have links in…

I am also in the same boat. NO updates have been made to my UCM environment in over 5 moths, and now all of my monitors are failing because of this. I also did a snmpwalk of the 1.3.6.1.2.25.3.3.1.1 OID - snmpwalk didnt show much - but snmpget - fails. (I know SNMP is working, but I was able to do a full walk of the…

Okay - Jeff, Thank you - you had me going the right direction, just being a little thick headed to relaize it. When enabling SNMP v3, we can no longer do a bulk/generic read of the vlan tables - we must give specific permision from each vlan or context. Once I grasped that concept, I realized my issue. Kinda bites, but I…
