Thanks for the heads up. looks like our upgrade is going to be delayed a bit, due to other priorities, but i am looking forward to the enhancements.
-
Thanks - Ill check on that. I think we have an update scheduled.
-
Well, that's unfortunate. Thanks for confirming.
-
Is there any way to get this dashboard in NPM?
-
I for one am confused why this was not added from the get-go. You allow us to use stored credentials for many things, but not this?
-
and how will this work when your NPM environment is virtualized?
-
Was anyone able to get around this?
-
Has an official release date been set?
-
i just want to know what solarwinds is doing with this tool..
-
I like that your adding support for Amazon AWS, but what about Mickey$oft? Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring * Amazon AWS
-
so, for day 9 - are we supposed to include the "or" in our answers?
-
sorry I didnt see this sooner - this is becomming a MAJOR item on my list. With more and more devices using Syslogs, better rules are becomming a necessity. I have, like some others, been waiting for this to be better with Orion. I am almost to the point of using a "Non-Solarwinds" tool!
-
bit of a rant here - if you are offended, sorry. I have been a customer of Solar-winds well over 10 years. I have seen you guys do alot of growth. Some good, some not. Here is what I read from your last post, Cobrien - SolarWinds does not care enough about this product to continue imporovements and development, unless you…
-
Looks really cool. since it appears we can only sign up for the SAM beta, is this also being developed in parallel with NPM?
-
This mission I like - I have been a fan of SolarWinds since the first toolkit was released.
-
Yeah, I'm going to also revive this thread - For the Switchport mapper tool - can you add POE info? your already on the switch - should be able to show if POE is enabled on a port, how many ways are in use, etc.. or maybe a new tool for that?
-
I like this idea. We should be able to pick and choose any type of monitoring, including multiple methods.
-
Same here. I don't remember the last time I was checking the site every day. On Mon, Sep 15, 2014 at 12:13 PM, jay.perry <

the new web-based mapping application leaves ALOT to be desired. I do not see full features like we had in the stand alone tool. Are the MORE plans for the mapping tool?
-
Are you guys upgrading existing installs, or fresh/clean installs?
-
PLEASE continue to work on this. This is one of the BIGGIST failiings in the Orion product line. so much so, that we are actually discussing moving to a new solution. (there are other factors, but this is one of the biggest). As more and more infrastructure products use SNMP/Syslog for communications, as well as alerting,…
-
Amazon cloud is now supported. Why did you not include Microsoft at the same time?
-
There are issues - follow this thread for tips - SolarWinds NCM Connector for Cisco SmartAdvisor
-
I was having a good morning... then this reminder.... Thanks..
-
(late entry, but...) ANY component should have the option to be disabled.
-
wow. this is interesting. I haven't looked at these forums in over 2 years, since we upgraded to Orion NCM (but have since gone BACK to Cat Tools). I am surprised nobody responded to this survey - or are the entries hidden? Just for the record - Cat Tools *IS* a life saver. We had a building get flooded a few years ago,…
-
Can you elaborate on this? Are you suggesting SolarWinds create new product, or create canned montiors for existing systems? I can get behind you and push for monitors that I can display statistics, but I don't know if a NMS should get into that line.
-
I agree. I am now looking for 3rd party tools or scripts that will help do this exact thing. We just had a major chassis go down because we had too many POE devices, and were over budget. This type of monitor/sensor should be included by default in any monitoring tool, imo.
-
I am going to up-vote this. I would like to see this as well.

I, like a lot of the IT guys around, have been in the line of work for 2-3 decades. When I started, there was no such thing as a GUI. It was ALL cli - you learned, or you found a new career. Over the last 10 years or so, some companies have tried to migrate to a GUI management interface. Cisco has as well - some work…
