Hi, I have a number of ESX servers running on DELL or part of UCS chassis that are not reporting Hardware details through the vCenter. I can see that other ESX in the same vCenter report those metrics appropriately. Does anybody know what causes this behavior and how to get the information needed? Thank you
Hello, I would like to see the ability to get hardware vitals off of Dell PowerEdge iDRAC devices (both 7 and 8) natively through SNMP without the need for an agent. At present, the only metrics I'm able to glean from an iDRAC 7 card in NPM is whether lo0 and bond0 are up or down. At present, I *am* able to get Hardware…
I'm trying to figure out if this is even possible: I have a Custom Poller monitoring the disk drive status in a Dell Server (using OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10893.1.20.130.4.1.4). The Custom Poller is returning the data in an enumerated table, one row for each disk in the server. I have an Advanced Alert setup to monitor that…
What is causing our battery charging to show up as a Warning? When we drill into the battery chart, it's showing yellow availability at 100%. No other details are shown. It's a Dell PowerEdge R710 showing an Array Status of Yellow (see attachment). Battery on Controller 0 is charging. It's a VMWare ESX Server with a…
I'd like to be able to monitor my Linux (Fedora) Dell Poweredge volumes via NPM, can anyone point me to a post or document that explains how to do this? I'm very new to NPM and have had modest success. As part of the network discovery, some of my older Solaris systems can be seen with volumes that can be tracked - I did…
I am using custom pollers for monitoring disk status on dell servers. Its working fine for most of dell servers but few are saying 'Timeout' when i do the test in assign poller window. I tried to find out the difference between the one which are working and not working, but can't find. There are no log in event viewer on…
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone is aware of a UnDP (any site, check here already) that will display a Dell Poweredge's Disk array health and helath of the disks? We are a Dell powerhouse and I want to convince the bosses to expand my Solarwinds setup, but they want temp, fan speed and disk health included. I will search…
