Currently SolarWinds obtains time and time zone from the server hosting it. We run a global operation with devices in 15+ time zones, so we set all devices to UTC. The SolarWinds server is also set to UTC. While this displays the time at the top of the dashboard correctly in UTC as well as events, and alerts, other times…
When creating a scheduled maintenance window, there's nothing in the UI that says the time zone that Pingdom is configured for, and there's no ability to select the time zone for creating the scheduled maintenance. For companies that have multiple locations and multiple admins, getting this right is key and it's too easy…
I use the SWSD iOS app— It would be great, when I check off a task. to automatically add a time tracking entry. Either a blank entry without a time amount or allow tasks to have default time amounts (5/10/15 min)?
IT Operations are built on metrics and these metrics are important to understanding how much time an service desk user might be spending on a ticket. I would like to see better enhancements to the time tracking ability. The built in time tracking (first response, closure) are all well and good, but there is a certain…
There are times when agents forget to put time towards a ticket prior to leaving for the day, and if they input that time in on another day the time is entered on the wrong day. It would be nice if there was a way to set a time entry for a previous day and/or time.
There are variables for date/time in Orion already but none present the time in the RFC 3339 format for use with the Pingdom API. Other APIs I'm sure would also require the same. It would be great if a variable could be provided to use with these API pollers in future.
as of 3/8/2021 we are no longer able to simply hit enter after adding the details to the time track field and instead have to use the mouse to click on the enter button on the screen. This is significantly slower then before and when I have a call queue things like this matter. ALT+ENTER is the same keyboard shortcut used…
Hi all, Having a quick search of the forums around this issue, I've reviewed this - Re: How do I change date/time format for Orion NPM Web Console? & while the settings on both my local machine/s & Orion server are set to GMT / UK etc... the date within the web console continues to display in American format (so mm/dd/yyyy…
Hi all. Recently, the timezone for some of our servers were changed and Solarwinds (and the SQL server) were included. Since the change, our UnDPs seem to be displaying an incorrect time (an hour ahead) on the dashboards, but are correct in the UnDP tool on the server. Can anyone help please? I've been investigating for…
I have been assigned a task to monitor the database of our company. We have around 25 SQL servers and I am currently looking for a tool to monitor the best. The major KPI's that we want to monitor are 1- CPU Wise Most Expensive Queries 2- Queries Having Most Physical Reads 3- Long Running Stored Procedures and Scripts 4-…
