Is it possible to use NCM to add or delete local WLAN controller users/admins?
A rogue access point (AP) is a wireless access point that has gained access into secure enterprise network without explicit authorization from the network administration team. These unauthorized rogue access points open wireless backdoors into wired networks. There could be numerous unauthorized APs in and around the…
Hi there, I'm currently working to improve our Cisco LAP monitoring system. My objective is to create an alert when an AP is disassociated from the WLC's and to reset the alert when this AP's rejoin the WLC's in order to help our support team to troubleshoot this kind of issue as fast as possible. Our WLAN infrastructure…
I want to use Orion Network Atlas to map wireless access points to office floorplans. Wouldn't that be cool?! I thought so. We use a Cisco Wireless LAN Controller with 12 access points. The access points show up in the wireless tab...which is brilliant. Problem is that in Network Atlas you can only map the regular…
We have implemented at a customers place a nice WLAN with an HP Procurve MSM765 module as a WLAN controller for about 50 APs. Due to other problems we install a Demo of Orion and the customer is really impressed (and we will renew the netqwork backbone...). One bad thing remains: Orion is detecting the MSM as a device…
The Alert for the # of Wireless clients is very useful, but I would like to add to the email alert the actual "client names" that can be viewed under the wireless tab. After looking in the NPM database I haven't had any luck finding it under the various tables so that I can build the variable. Anyone attempt this?
We have an Aruba wireless controller with about 40 thin APs. When displaying the controllers details page, I can see a list of thin APs as well as a list of interfaces. However, when creating a network map, only the interfaces can be used. Is there a way to display the thin APs connected to the controller on network…
