I would like to build a group and have it populated with systems that meet a specific IP address range or specified subnet. Example: Baltimore nodes group = (Dynamic Query) All nodes on 172.30.33.0/22 subnet OR All nodes starting with 172.30.33.1 thru 172.30.33.250 Surely this can't be too hard to implement and would be…
It would be nice if IPAM could show a search result based on Subnet range detail instead of showing every IP address as the result. I cover about 500 offices and it would also be nice that if I type the name of the office on the search that it would give me all SUBNETS associated with that office instead of every IP…
Hi all I would like to be able to have a variable in an alerts send to email address. That way I can have a value from a custom property in there or create a SQL-variable for that. For example ${node.ResponsibleTeam}.support@company.net That way alerts can be more dynamic and generic. /Thomas
Every time IPAM makes an scan of a subnet if a IP in a used status does not respond, automatically change its status to transient and if this continue until the transient period we set at the Subnet Scan Settings, the ip change its status to available. Is there a way to disable the transient period?
I've upgrade our Orion environment with IPAM 4.0. One of the new features is the 'IP Address Conflicts'. Upgrade went well and the system is now reporting some Alerts en Events: ###Example: The IP address 10.15.7.254 is in conflict. The following devices were detected on network with same IP address: - PingSweep vs…
It would be nice when the Help Desk does a WMI Discovery and pulls an asset out of a certain IP range for it to automatically assign the asset a location based upon the IP address. For example: If I have WMI searching IP Range: 192.168.5.2 - 192.168.5.250, Auto assign Location "A" 192.168.6.2 - 192.168.6.250, Auto assign…
I have been looking for a way to pull some type of report or list from Solarwinds that contains a Node's name and its IP address from a set IP range. For example, say I wanted to know the Nodes and their IP addresses in the range 10.0.0.0 - 10.0.0.255. Is there a way to do this?
BIND is the most widely used DNS software on the Internet. From a performance perspective, it’s quite powerful; from a management perspective, it can be quite cumbersome, especially if you’re not proficient with the command line interface. As many network admins who manage BIND servers on a daily basis would agree,…
Most companies use contractors for strategic purposes within their development and support organizations. Even the IT team within many companies of different size do so. Part of getting a contractor integrated into the workflow of a team is making sure that all the usual communication channels are open. So the common…
We are always having to figure out what IP's are on a router or layer 3 switch. It would be VERY helpful if a monitored layer 3 interface would show the IP assigned. NOT IP's that are connected, just the one that is assigned.
