We are always having to figure out what IP's are on a router or layer 3 switch. It would be VERY helpful if a monitored layer 3 interface would show the IP assigned. NOT IP's that are connected, just the one that is assigned.
I can't believe this has only received 16 upvotes. Come ON, people!
Yeah definitely a must!
WOO HOO this is on the "What we are workin on next"!!!!
So you mean show the IP address of a router or L3 switch interface that's monitored by NPM ie. like the IP from the:
ip address XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX mask XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX statement below interface from the config?
Yes. That's what I meant, at least.
Not just for L3 VLANs, but for L2 VLANs too! We use a lot of Juniper switching, which will only have address on the Management VLAN (as you would expect), but it would be very useful to be able to get information on the bandwidth current passing through the VLAN as a whole, not just one interface.
So this says its implemented, that's nice. It would be nice to have a link to the release notes that include this feature instead of a static blue box that says implimented
