I'm rather new to IPAM and am having trouble getting what I believe to be basic functionality working correctly. I am having issues getting the "IP Addresses>Manage Subnets & IP Addresses>IP Networks>Discovered Subnets" view to populate DNS Entries(SNIP #1). When I select the IPs that should have more information, which…
Guys, First allow me to highlight that I'm a complete n00b to solarwinds . . . but the address management funtions look quite interesting . . . What I'd like to find out - and i cannot find any obvious whitepapers or faq's that cover this, is what is best practice for making use of IPAM in a highly segmented network with…
I'm working on customizing the IP Address View in IPAM to make it more readable and get rid of columns I don't need. I can always choose the columns desired and uncheck them - no problem. However, the settings are not retained between sessions. Is there any way to accomplish this today? I've done my best to scour thwack to…
I read several posts eluding to this but nothing I could discern as a way to deploy IPAM standard column ordering and size to all users when they first log in? For visibility, should I be setting the <IPAMlayout:GridColumn> to isHidden="true" ? What about for column ordering?
Is it possible for the user to change how many addresses are listed in the IP Address view? Flipping through the pages slows me down.
I have just installed the latest version of IPAM. I added my two DHCP servers and it discovered all the scopes just fine. The only problem is that under the 'manage subnet' tab there are several duplicate subnets. How can I ensure that this does not happen?
Hi, Has anyone else had this issue? We have a supernet 172.16.0.0/16 and we have added our subnets within that 172.16.0.0/23 172.16.2.0.0/24 etc all the way to 172.16.254.0/24. When I try and explore the list in the left hand pane i get the following message: Which is no problem if i want to look at any of the addresses…
I've been in much the same boat as Bleearg13. I finally got a working version of the IPAM eval software today after upgrading my Orion server from 9.1 SP5 to 9.5. I was consulted before the development of this software, and it nice to see the use of custom fields and IPv6 implemented. But I've found it is lacking the same…
