Limited to 150 items?

Hi,

Has anyone else had this issue? We have a supernet 172.16.0.0/16 and we have added our subnets within that 172.16.0.0/23 172.16.2.0.0/24 etc all the way to 172.16.254.0/24. When I try and explore the list in the left hand pane i get the following message:

Which is no problem if i want to look at any of the addresses listed above the error, but if i try and display the subnet 172.16.234.0/24 (for example) from the right hand pane nothing happens? It will not display. This is the same for any address beyond this point in the supernet.

Any thoughts/help appreciated.

Hello Dan,

Since our last meet, we've got some new steps that we want people to follow. My original post is now depreciated.

Our advice is to use the features to create Groups & Supernets... then drag the subnets from the large flat list into the new containers. Having a huge list is probably sub-optimal !!

Edit: IPAM v1.5 now includes a tool to help change the max number of items in the tree. Check out this post for more details:

We govern the tree with a conservative 150 items to ensure that the page was nicely responsive. Anyone wanting to increase the number of items in the tree should contact support. Please see the new reply below.

Thanks for the advice Peter. Sounds like the group option is the way to go.

Is there an efficient way to drag multiple subnets to a new group container? The only way i can figure out how to do it is to drag each individual subnet into the group. This will take quite a long to time put all 300+ subnets into groups. Is there any way to drag multiple subnets to a group at one time?

If not, I'm going to try to see if can do it in the DB with SQL scripts. Its a real pain to do them individually.

Unfortunately, the UI currently only allows for single selection. We know this is something we need to change.
