As a disclaimer I did not install or configure the IPAM module. Hi all, I am trying to get the IPAM IP Address Conflict widget up and running for my organization and created an IPAM conflict alert (email Alert). I ran a test by statically assigning the same IP address onto two wired PC. I waited 20 min, did not get an…
Here is a starting point for IP address to block. I would very much like it if Solarwinds followed and implemented changes that the Forums come up with. However given I have seen messages that are 8 years old and I still do not see the requested features added I doubt that this will happen. I could give adjectives to…
In IPAM, the IP Address History already shows the MAC address in some of the entries. Would be super-helpful to also show the Vendor there so you don't have to do an extra (manual) lookup. I know IPAM has the Vendor info so hoping this would be an easy add.
When looking at the details of a specific IP address in IPAM, the IP Address History is pretty helpful but... for many of our devices, the hostname doesn't get populated (separate issue). For IPs that are in the DHCP scope, having the DHCP Client Name logged as party of the IP Address History would be helpful with…
Hey guys, I'm not able to update custom properties on IP.Node using SWIS API. The problem is, the URI & other properties are not set when I query "uri/custom" >>> swis.read(uri) {u'DisplayName': u'2.2.3.3', u'IPMapped': None, u'VendorIcon': None, u'DnsBackward': u'', u'Comments': u'Lab', u'MacBy': 0, u'InstanceSiteId': 0,…
I routinely search IPAM for a subnet that I need to reserve an IP address for. I then have to click on that subnet. I then have to find an IP address and select it. But, wait a minute, I then have to select "unselect managed IP address" and edit. It would be so cool if I could search for a subnet and see a list of subnets…
Hi, we have upgraded UDT to newest version, but now when I click on switch for example, and then go to port details, I can see MAC addresses of devices connected to switch, but no IP addresses. To be exact, I can see IP addresses from devices (ports) in vlan 130, but don't see those that are in vlan 70, as you can see from…
Hi All, Have been looking about this for quite sometime but didnt find any thread related to it so posting this. Solarwinds polls the network devices via SNMP to get the performance related details and ICMP would be for getting a up/down status. Now many interfaces also will be having an IP address attached to it. So is…
Had a colleague ask me a favor the other day. They are auditing what links we have at sites and are trying to make sure old cable DIA connections are disconnected and such. I was made aware of it when they said one site had 2 cable connections and I only saw one. They had no idea how to figure out which connection was…
Hi All, We have a question regarding our IPAM. We have noticed that it shows currently used IP addresses as being "available" when they aren't. Anyone else had this issue? Thanks, Tracy
