We are having an issue with our Network Atlas Map on our main summary screen that started today. Randomly, the map fails to load and shows the error: "There was an error while rendering resource with id xxx". We restarted the "Information Service v3" and that seems to help for a few hours, but then the error happens again.…
When in the node management screen, I select a node and then click on "List Resources." Most of our discovered nodes (these are Cisco ASAs to be specific) list the resources (AKA interfaces). However, there are some that fail to do so and return the following message: "[Node Name] is currently down, unreachable, or…
The Scenario Imagine yourself as a user. You get in to work, login, and start preparing for the day. You open your browser to check the headlines, and bam - you get a network error. Okay, no big deal, right? Maybe the bosses are cracking down on browsing at work and blocked the local news site. It's annoying, but livable.…
I have been monitoring our SQL server for Orion and found that our SQL Full Scans counter is fairly high. We run on average at about 120/sec with a max of 2297/sec. I have traced most of it down to my alerts. I use multiple alerts where I use custom properties. Disabling the alerting service drops my average down to…

Red dashed lines in my (Network Atlas Map) is because my devices reside behind Layer-2 ISP equipment. I think the Topology Calculator is unable to produce a connection drawn on the map because of this. Can someone confirm these assumptions for me? I have attached a sample of my Orion Map. Thank you. Using Engr Toolset V10, and setting up an email alert in Network Monitor, it asks for server address under SMTP GATEWAY, without any fields for minor details like POP or IMAP, port, protocol, password. So, is this toolset not usable with say Gmail as the email server, which would require all these things?
I used Engineer's toolset and a Fluke device to get interfaces load on 2 routers from my network. My question is why the values are so different (Engineer's toolset -> 6.2Mb Fluke -> 3Mb) and which is the correct value? Thanks.

Hi Is there any way to change a node so that when you click "IP Browse", it takes you to that node using a specified port? E.g.. Say I have a router set to port 8080 to log onto the web interface. If I click IP Browse it wont take me there, because its using port 80. Can I change this somehow? M
