It would be incredibly helpful to see /sort which interfaces are set to be unpluggable in the Manage Nodes page -since we can't set this during import we need to do so from the manage nodes page.
It seems like shortly after NPM introduced the UnPlugged setting (so a device doesn't give a false indication of a sub-component problem when ports are unused), I upgraded UDT from 1 to 2 and now my maps once again indicate a sub-component problems; but when you drill into the maps/devices, there's nothing wrong. My guess…
We have many remote sites that are connected to the central site via VPN connection over the Internet. the NOC monitors Orion and when ever a remote (VPN) site is not connected they get a line item showing up in the 'Nodes with Problems' list and they log incidents with an outage. I have requested they not log incidents on…
I love the new unpluggable feature, I'm trying to convince my boss that we can now watch every network port and need an upgrade to SLX for it since now switches no longer go red when someone shuts their PC off. On a few of my nodes, however, they show as green with a flashing grey square in the corner. When I hover over…
I notice that during my work under Node Management, it would be very helpful to see in one glance on the main page if interfaces in a UP status are set to unpluggable, yes or no. Now you need to open the interface properties to check this.
I'm using the web interface to batch apply "unpluggable" to interfaces. It successfully applies to most, but not all. This doesn't cause problems immediately -- the port is still up (therefore green). But later, when staff leave (for the day) and shut their computers down, the port goes red. We're running 9.5 SP4. Anyone…
Hi all. Can I somehow create a view or report that shows all the interfaces marked as "unpluggable" ??? I need to make sure that interfaces are not "forgotten" in unpluggable state /Brian
Does anyone know of an easy way to make changes en mass to interfaces that you wish to use the unplugable feature on? Going through my access layer switches one interface at a time is just not going to happen... Anyone that has any insight to this, please let me know. Matt
The unpluggable interface feature is great but I think is still missing a couple of extra bits. I still see all the UP events of the "unplugged" interfaces. Where a PC or workstation has been shutdown (not unplugged) and the NIC remains powered up (most new PCs) the switch port changes it's configuration from 100 mb to 10…
