Orion NPM - Unpluggable ports changing node icon

I love the new unpluggable feature, I'm trying to convince my boss that we can now watch every network port and need an upgrade to SLX for it since now switches no longer go red when someone shuts their PC off.

On a few of my nodes, however, they show as green with a flashing grey square in the corner. When I hover over the icon, it says "Node status is up, one of more interfaces are unplugged." Other nodes, however just show as a green circle "Node status is up."

Any idea why? They're both the same model switch, everything seems the same between them. I'd prefer the second behavior for all of them - simple "Node status is up." Is there a checkbox or something I missed on the few nodes saying more?

I can open a ticket, but wanted to rule out my being an idiot first - wouldn't be the first time.

I just tested that on my box too and saw similar behavior until the next poll happened. To test I set a bunch of my currently down ports to unplugged and then manually kicked off via web node management a re-discover and poll now and after I did that the node turned to green and the red blinking box went away. Try that out and let us know

Seems no dice.

I selected the 4 switches in question, did a rediscover, refreshed main page, waited 2 minutes after it completed, did a poll now, refreshed main page.

Went back, selected all the interfaces individually, did a rediscover... checked, still flashing... did a poll now, still flashing...

On one switch, selected all the unpluggable interfaces and made them not unpluggable, then re-unpluggabled them, repeated all the above rediscovers...

Still flashy grey. About the only thing I can think of left to try is completely deleting the interfaces and re-adding them. Should I bother?

Your call there on deleting and re-adding. Any idea on why they are showing as unknown?

They're Cisco 3020 switches (the back half of an HP blade center). The ports act a little weird when there's no blade in the slot, but I thought unpluggable would be the ultimate solution for those...

I suppose I can just delete the interfaces for the empty slots - it's what I would have done in the past. Just need to remember to re-add them as servers get slotted.

Just weird that switches 1 and 2 show ok, but 5, 6, 7, and 8 are goofy.
