I would like to be able to do multi value filtering when in "Manage Nodes" much like I can in "Configuration Management". I often need to bulk edit SOME nodes but not all and would like to apply several "Group By" levels so I can filter just the nodes I wish to modify. Enabling the same mechanism that already exists in…
I have seen a few requests on 'how to bulk edit captions' and had to do it myself today so sharing the script I used. The script originated from here: OrionSDK/Update.Captions.ps1 at master · solarwinds/OrionSDK · GitHub You will need to have a directory structure C:\PowershellScripts\UpdateCaptions\ in place. Copy the…
I am a new user. I need to update the connection profiles of multiple nodes. I ran a report to create a list of nodes needing to be changed (nodes with no profile). With over 1200 nodes, and a display limit of 100, it is time consuming to track down and select lots of random nodes individually in the web interface. Is…
If you go into Settings > Manage Pollers, choose a Poller, and then click Assign, the table that pops up lets you do the typical "Group by" and searching that is ubiquitous throughout Orion. However, it doesn't let you sort or search on the "Scan Result" and "Poller Status" columns nor does it let you Filter on any column…
There is either a big miss by SolarWinds when it comes to the management of the relatively new F5 Polling feature, or I'm overlooking something on my end. I've been a big advocate of the new Manage Pollers feature (AKA: Device Studio) because it has made bulk editing standard poller assignments much easier, as well as…
while making a dashboard for an application i came across a situation where 80% of the nodes needed to have different then default metrics. Currently these have to be changed one by one in Atlas, so my suggestion--> adding functionality to change metrics of a selection of nodes instead of one at a time.
Enabling or disabling functions such as automatic scanning have to be done a per subnet basis. When you have many subnets under a supernet it's extremely time consuming to, for example, enable/disable scanning on each subnet. I'm sure most people will have a logical structure to their IPAM, e.g. subnets under supernets…
I just posted two other questions related to SRM here and here. I was going to originally post all three questions in one post, but figured it'd just be too much to ask in one shot. I noticed in the SRM tables of the database there is a SRM Thresholds table in which individual thresholds can be applied to Arrays, Pools,…
I am looking to update multiple views with the same info. Like bulk editing nodes on the managed nodes page. Is there a way via the data base to do this?.
