Anyone who was able to monitor Cisco Access Point with embedded WLC? It was added successfully via SNMP but unable to see the SSIDs and other user details. Appreciate your inputs. TIA.
We are currently utilizing Cisco controllers to manage many different Cisco access points that we have across our enterprise. I have noticed that the AP disappears from Solarwinds when it disassociates from the Cisco controller. Is there a way to have Solarwinds show the AP as down instead of deleting it? How should I be…
Changes the preshared key of a WLAN with WPA2 PSK security. Validated on a Cisco 5508 WLC running 7.6.120.0. Prompts for WLAN ID and new passkey. Script saves the configuration so there is you don't have to check the Write config to NVRAM after execute box when defining variables. WLCs configured to use device command…
A quick search of posts didn't return any relevant hits so I'm posing the question: who to believe?. Our Cisco 4402 wifi controller lists a greater number of connected clients per AP than what's displayed in NPM. For example, filtering the connected clients to an AP the controller returns 15 connections with the usual…
We are looking seriously at supporting Cisco LWAPPs. If we go forward, we would expect to support at least what we have for "thick" or "autonomous" APs. What else would you like to see? I know you're not shy about asking for you want. Let me hear it.
I have upgraded Orion with the latest version of everything. I'm happy that there is now LWAPP support. I notice that my WLC is reporting 31 Access points, however Orion is saying that I have 28. I have tried to figure out why this is, but can't come up with anything. All the AP's are 1242 LWAPPS Anyone else seen this?
Can anyone at SW speak to hte future of the wireless module? Is there an upgrade in the works? If so, an approximate timeframe?
We've recently installed a small Cisco WLAN controller and can no longer directly monitor the individual access points directly for data. How would I go about monitoring them through the controller now so I can get the same stats (or more) when I was monitoring them directly? Shawn Waldman - IT Manager - Five Rivers…
Any idea on when/if Solarwinds Wireless Network Monitor will support Cisco Wireless LAN controllers? I'm even willing to donate one or two to Solarwinds if it would help get development started. Would it help if I asked nicely? P L E A S E ? ? I figured it was worth a shot
