Just got the Web Help Desk (WHD) software. I am already running the NPM and NTA Solarwinds software on a server. Will I have a problem running the WHD on the same server? This is the only thing that is running on this server.
I would not recommend it because SW Orion uses IIS whereas WHD uses Apache Tomcat and it is never good news running different Web Server types on the same machine. If your SW Orion MS-SQL Database is on another machine and you want to use MS-SQL Database type with WHD then you can quite freely put that database on the same SQL Instance.
I am running WHD on the same server as NPM and do not have issues. I did however go into IIS and change NPM to run on a different port so there would be no conflicts with WHD.
