How can i add internal website for the monitoring. I want to have it send alert if the website is down or not reachable, response time etc.,
Our website is running of some server with IIS and is getting load balanced through F5.
There is some native F5 monitoring in NPM: Monitor services delivered by F5 BIG-IP load balancers
Do you have the server and application monitoring module (SAM)? You can monitor IIS via that module (for example HTTP GET looking for a 200 response and for presence of certain words on the text).
If you have SAM , create a simple http or https monitor and place the website url on this monitor. If you do not have a node to place it on, add your Solarwinds server as a node and place the template on top of that node
I have SAM. Can you please explain the steps how i can do it.

If you decide to use SAM for this, you might consider posting in the SAM forum: Server & Application Monitor
while creating alert what component instance i choose?? I have created a template and added URL but i cannot see that template name when i try to add instance. I am creating alert under component. is that right??
I'm having the exact same issue. The documentation is horrible and leaves that question unanswered.
