CustomPoller working, how do I actualy create an alert useing it?

I have a custom poller that is grabbing the current frequency for a wireless radio.

I wantt o be able to make a rule that will allow me to be able to tell when that frequency changes, but I can't seem to find any way to get that custom property into the alert with a value that I can do comparison with for change detection...

How would something like this be done?

Hello,

It is actually not possible to use variables like custom property to be compared with another field such as a Custom Node Poller value. The Adv. Alert front end does not propose this option.

This seems like a feature request.

I do a something that for my wireless access points to but I poll how many people are connected.

I am assuming you already have the alert setup you are just wanting to get the value to parse into your alerts.

I use this command ${CustomPollerStatus.Status}. I use that to populate the current number of users on my WAP when the alert fires off.

If you have custom properties that you want in your alerts then here is a few example of my.

${Node.CustomerName}
${Node.MonitorLevel}
${Node.DeviceLocation}

Side note I did all of this in Adv alerts, I don't use basic alerts for anything. They are why to limiting.
