Group Custom View

I am Creating a dashboard for the groups. On dashboard i have created a group tree for production and non production groups. When someone logs in i want them to see the dashboard showing the group tree and if they click on particular group name in the tree i want it to be directed to a custom view that i have created for that particular group. Is it possible to do it?? I don't want to have a common group detail view for all the groups. I want to segregate view for the Network Devices group and Server groups. How can i do it?

Would you like the standard drop down feature to work from the home page? Or are you just seeking to list the groups, and the users be directed to that assigned view?

I have created a view for a group of users. When they log in they will be taken to the page where they will see the group tree on the dashboard.

For example:

>Production Server

> eService Server

* Group member 1

* Group member 2

> HPC Server

>Non-Production Server

> Server-1

> Server-2

So if anyone clicks on " For example : eService Server " it is taking them to the System Default " Group Details" Page. I want to create my own group detail page for each server group on the tree , so that when user click on eService Server it will go to my custom group detail page showing info of the member only in that group.

I want to to this to all the server groups.

You are correct, if you were to click on the eService Server group, Solarwinds will present the group template but it will only show servers that belong to that group. I'm not sure if it's possible to redirect your group to an alternative website as it uses the container ID as a variable to present your webpage.

The route I selected to accomplish your goal is creating a new view and using the "User Link" resource. From there I entered the group name as the header, and used the url for my custom views under the header.

I played around with different configurations and I was not able to create one template with your requirements for groups. I'm not sure if this is possible, but if you find out how or anyone else chimes in I would be interested on accomplishing this objective.

What I have implemented for groups to work in the way you desire is via account limitations. This however limits your users to one specific group. When you create a custom dashboard, and you limit your users to one specific group then Orion only shows data for the groups belonging to that group and nothing else.
