Display Single UnDP Poller Value in Node Details Page?

Hello All,

Perhaps I am doing things incorrectly here, but I am trying to display the status of a SINGLE assigned poller on the Node Details page; currently I am using the Node Detail Reports - Resources that Apply to a Single Node -> Universal Device Poller Status to display the status of all assigned pollers, but I want to limit that to only one. How would I go about doing that? I thought I might have to create a custom report that only displays the data for that poller, but I cannot even get a report to list that data (I can get other pollers to work with that report, but not the specific poller I want to use).

More specifically, I'm using the APC SmartUPS UnDPs from aLTeReGo located here: The specific poller I want to display is the upsAdvInputLineFailCause.

Any ideas???

Why not create a Universal Device Poller for the upsAdvInputLineFailCause and then add it to the Node Details page in the web display section during the creation of the poller? Is that not what you are looking for?

I'm looking to POLL multiple pollers, but I only want to DISPLAY that single poller in a web resource. I cannot figure out how to limit the Universal Device Poller Status web resource to just a single UnDP without removing all the rest of the UnDPs (which I use in reports, but don't want them cluttering my web display).

As for your suggestion of assigning it to a page via the UnDP Web Display Properties, it's an enumeration descriptiveText(statusnumber) and only allows me to add a Chart or Gauge, neither of which work for displaying the text that shows up in the Universal Device Poller Status web resource.

It looks like I'll have to make a custom report; it turned out that Historical Data wasn't turned on for that poller, so that's why I was having the report issues before.

There's no way to limit that specific resource, however, you could create a report in report writer for that specific poller. In the select fields of that report, you'd have poller name, poller status, and in the filter results, you would filter by the name of the specific poller. Once the report is created, you could create a specific Node Details View for your APC devices, add the report from report writer resource, and add that specific report. Assign this view to your APC nodes through Views by Device type, and you should get the desired result of just having one poller value displayed rather than all pollers assigned to that node.
