Hardware Health Agent Name and Version unavailable

When using the "Add Column" resource while creating a Custom Table, the Hardware Health "Agent Name" and "Agent Version" are unavailable to add as a column. The data is collected and stored in the Orion.HardwareHealth.HardwareInfo SWQL Entity, but I can't find that in the "Add Column" section at all. I'd like to make a report so that we can use I could be missing something, so if somebody know please let me know, otherwise maybe SolarWinds could look into making this data available in there without us having to do a custom SQL/SWQL query. The 'Hardware Agent' property under 'Asset Inventory' is what you're looking for.

Ehh, kind of. The problem is I've found that the asset inventory Hardware agent column isn't nearly as complete as the Hardware Info Agent Name and Agent Version column. Those two things are collected through two different pollers it seems and one is more complete than the other. In other words, I have a lot of NULL fields in the Asset Inventory table that aren't NULL in the Hardware Info table (and yes, I have both monitored). Plus being able to have the version number and name split up are very helpful for more advanced sorting/filtering purposes.

Then you will need to enter your custom SQL query into the Web Based Report Writer to return these specific fields. There is no SWIS entity for those particular field as seen in the database.

Cool, thanks for the confirmation. Hopefully you guys will add that to the column picker one day. By the way, just curious, when you say there isn't a SWIS entity do you mean that there isn't a reference to the entity in the Column Picker, or is a SWIS Entity something different? Because there are those fields in the HardwareInfo Entity in SWQL Studio and I thought SWQL Studio was simply a way to interact with all of the SWIS Entity's?
