Solarwinds NPM Map Engine Failure

I'm having an error on our web pages where the Orion map Icons are VERY basic and the network background is completely missing with a white background. I have a case number opened (1141747) but the steps provided where to recreate website, Clear ASP.NET, repaired core installer, and re-ran configuration wizard.

Some background:

We moved Solarwinds from Windows2008r2 to Windows2012r2 and I went through the migration process. Everything works great except the maps... Load up Network Atlas and it recognizes the maps just fine. I even went and built a fresh map with a few nodes on it and tried to test that but no success either.

Here is a brief on the error I'm receiving from the orionweb.log file:

WARN MapEngine - (null) Failed to dispose map objects

System.Runtime.InteropServices.InvalidComObjectException: Com

object that has been separated from its underlying RCW cannot be used.

at System.StubHelpers.StubHelpers.GetCOMIPFromRCW (Object objSrc, IntPtr pCPCMD, IntPtr& ppTarget, Boolean& pfNeedsRelease)

at TomSawyer.TSGraphEditor.get_mainDisplayGraph()

AxTomSawyer.AxTSUnicodeGraphEditorControl.get_mainDisplayGraph()

at Solarwinds.MapEngine.MappingControl.get_MapObjects()

at Solarwinds.MapEngine.MappingControl.MapClose()

This is also on a network where I can't "Pull" logs from...If anyone can help with this I would greatly.

Come to find out, it was a permissions issue with our environment variables under the advance system settings. In our environment, we don't allow network service to communicate in and out of a folder with the word %temp% or %tmp%. So it was pointed to another folder which I forced to have network service read/write privs and that fixed the maps from loading up on the actual website.

Orion permission checker didn't catch this right away but after a reboot and re-ran the installation wizard for NPM, it found it.

There is a thread here: Network Atlas Crash the issue was a corrupt installation back in the days. Maybe reinstall the binaries and let the config wizard run.

Not sure if it's a Network Atlas issue because when I open Network Atlas, all the maps, objects, and backgrounds works fine within the editing tool. When you go to the actual webpage is when it doesn't work properly.
