Need advice upgrading WHD from 32-bit to 64-bit

Hello WHD Community,

I've got WHD version 12.5.0 - Build #12.5.0.1269-HotFix1 running on 32-bit Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP2.

• To upgrade WHD to 12.5.2, I'm going to first need to upgrade/migrate the OS to 64-bit, correct?
• Assuming that is correct, I haven't been able to find documentation on upgrading a 32-bit instance of WHD to 64-bit. Can anyone lead me in the right direction there?

You won't be able to do an "in place" upgrade of the OS to 64-bit as it's not supported, so it will have to be a clean install. I'm assuming you'll run the 64-bit version of whatever database software you're using, as well?

This migration guide should give some pointers

So very basically;

1. Back everything up
2. Install new 64-bit OS
3. Install DB application
4. Install WHD (same version as currently running)
5. Restore database and run everything up
6. Upgrade WHD

Would no doubt be best to contact Solarwinds support, as there may be some issues with paths going from 32-bit to 64-bit OS.
