VNQM not picking up CDR files

Our SolarWinds server is not downloading CDR files from the SFTP server. I've verified that the CDR files are being uploaded to the SFTP server by the CallManagers and that the SolarWinds CallManager hosts are configured with the correct SFTP credentials and file location. I've turned the debug levels up on the SFTP server and I can see SolarWinds get a listing of the directory, but no files are ever downloaded by SolarWinds. After reading other threads, it seems that SolarWinds is using a pattern to filter out filenames. What exactly is the pattern? I've changed the name of the CallManager server in SolarWinds to a number of possible variations, but nothing has worked so far.

The filenames on my server look like:

cdr_CALLMAN01-Cluster_01_201309161937_27705

cmr_CALLMAN01-Cluster_01_201309161937_27705

I've tried "CALLMAN01", "CALLMAN01-Cluster" and "CALLMAN01-Cluster_01" as names for my CallManager server in SolarWinds.

Or am I completely missing the boat and there's some other cause to my problem? I'm using VNQM 4.0.1.

So I had the same problem and just found out that the CM set up in SolarWinds was looking for different file names. For some reason the cluster was sending the file names cdr_StandAloneCluster_xx_xxxxxxxxxxxx_xxxx and and SolarWinds was looking for cdr_ABCUS_xx_xxxxxxxxxxxx_xxxx. If you go into your CM and go to System -> Enterprise Parameter --> Cluster ID and that is the name the CM in SolarWinds is looking for. To solve this I wrote a powershell script: Get-ChildItem -Filter "*StandAloneCluster*" | Rename-Item -NewName {$_.name -replace 'StandAloneCluster', 'ABCUS'} and added a task to run every 5 min with task manager to run powershell with the arguments -File \CallManagerCDR\rename_US.ps1 -WindowsStyle Hidden

jcollie, I have deployed VNQM v4.1 successfully using the CDR and CMR files uploaded to my SFTP server. These files came from my CUCM v8.6 server cluster. The SolarWinds Orion v10.4 server resides on the same VM as my SFTP server. I can see the root folder of my SFTP server being populated and purged in real time which validates the whole process. More importantly, I can see the Calls by Region and Failed Calls Views being refreshed on a regular basis. In over 2 months that I have been using this product, I only have seen VNQM fail to pick up the CDR/CMR files on two instances: 1) The SolarWinds SFTP/SCP Server service stopped running and had to start it again 2) Had to restart both the SolarWinds Information Service V3 and SolarWinds Orion Module Engine although the status for each service was "Started". Hope this helps.
