Currently, PerfStack time-series graphs display data for all hours of the day. This makes it difficult to analyze performance during actual business operations, as off-hours data (nights, weekends) can skew trends and baselines.
What We're Requesting: Add an automatic business hours filter option for PerfStack time-series graphs that:
- Filters displayed data to show only business hours (e.g., 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday-Friday)
- Allows users to customize business hours definition (time range and days)
- Can be toggled on/off easily
- Applies across all metrics in the PerfStack view simultaneously
- Saves the business hours preference per user or per view
Why We Need This:
- Accurate Analysis: Focus on performance during actual business operations
- Better Baselines: Establish thresholds based on when systems are actually in use
- Faster Troubleshooting: Eliminate noise from off-hours maintenance and low-usage periods
- Capacity Planning: Make decisions based on real business demand, not 24/7 averages
Use Case Example: When troubleshooting application slowness, we need to see performance patterns during 9 AM - 5 PM when users are active, not overnight when the system is idle.
