Portal Login Image Doesn't Auto-Scale

I've created a custom image for the login page that has some directions included for users when they first sign in. It's a simlpe "click 'Forgot your password' to get started" directive, but the image isn't autoscaling based on the screen resolution. It's fine on my wide desktop monitor, but my laptop (which most users in my environment have) has a vast majority of the huge 1400x1050 image cut off. How can I fix this so the image auto-scales based on the user's window?

Unfortunately, without exposed custom CSS/branding controls for the login page (common in SaaS platforms like this), you can't force true auto-scaling like background-size: contain; background-position: center; via user configuration. The redesign approach is what most organizations settle on for similar branding images in SWSD.

Since direct CSS overrides aren't exposed in SWSD (unlike some other SolarWinds products), here are the most practical fixes based on similar reported issues and platform behavior:

1. Recreate or crop your image to a wider aspect ratio that prioritizes the key text/instructions in the center or safe zones.
2. Target something like 1920 × 1080 (16:9, common laptop ratio) or even wider (e.g., 2560 × 1080) so critical content (your "click 'Forgot your password'" directive) stays visible even when edges are cropped.
3. Use tools like Canva, Photoshop, or Paint.NET to add padding, center the text, and test by resizing the browser window to mimic laptop screens.

The other option is to use text-based instructions with a simple button.
