However, the lengthy process of purchasing additional licenses can make things even more challenging. That’s why SolarWinds Service Desk is excited to offer a simpler solution: on-demand license purchasing, allowing you to easily adjust your plan to match your team’s needs.

Launching in the coming weeks, you will be able to purchase more licenses without needing to reach out to your account manager! With on-demand license purchasing, if you go over your current licenses amount, you will see a new banner at the top of the platform. This banner will direct you to a new page that allows you to purchase the overage, or more, without the need to reach out to any SolarWinds representative. If you are close to your renewal, you can also handle it directly on this page as well.
This new feature is designed to streamline your administration, making Service Desk more flexible for the team you have today, and the one you may need tomorrow. But, if you prefer to speak to someone about adding more licenses or your renewal, our teams are always here to help. You can reach out directly to your Account Manager or Renewal Manager if you have any questions.
How and when will this show up?
- You are over your purchased service agent user license count (asset license counts coming in the future)
- You are assigned a role with the license type of Administrator
Can I close it out and come back to it?
- This banner will remain until the overage is resolved.
- It can take up to 24 hours for the banner to close after the overage is resolved.
