As it is today adding / removing / fixing linux agents is a monotonous manual process. If you have 1000's of linux servers not being able to deploy linux agents with automation of some sort is really a let down. We only monitor certain volumes on linux servers. It sure would be nice if we could have a template for what to monitor that could be deployed either through passed parameters to the linux agent installer or a config file. Today regardless how you install, either push from Orion, or install directly you have to manually select your settings and then afterwards, list resources and manually select what you want to monitor. For all my linux admin friends the fact that there's no way to automate this is like 20 year old technology. Ideal for us would be to be able to deploy agents as part of our build process when we PXE boot new bare metal machines to be deployed. We do this with ansible but there are many ways to do it. Today the agent isn't able to be automated and deployed... pretty much at all.
