Allow notifications on the Portal main page that has time based criteria

I would like to have the ability to put a notification on the front page of the portal that can be sized to be larger so its noticed and all us to put on active time for the notification to visible on the Portal Page. The option to set up a repeating notification would also be nice.

This would be great for time limited notifications. I recently realized that there was a notification on our portal that our new printers had arrived, and that we would be setting them up at the offices over the coming days / weeks.... Those printer arrived last summer, and I forgot to take down that section from the portal. I just now noticed it, probably 6-8 months later.

If we could have set a time period on that notification to expire, it would have just been gone after a week or 2.
