Solarwinds should support a better role based Access controle concept.
We have to share Access to Solarwinds for different Teams. They have to configure their own application and Servers. Additional, they must have Read-Access to every monitored Device and Application.
If we could assign multiple roles to user and user-Groups within an Domain (Group of objects), then we would be able to restrict the user as we should.
A user or a user-Group should be able to:
- have assigned multiple roles within a domain
- be in multiple Domains with different Access rights/Role Assignments
A role should:
- contain different Access rights to different objects like Servers, applications, Locations, ...
- contain different Access rights to configuration items in Solarwinds like Menü-Bar, ...
A Domain should:
- contain different objects like Servers, applications, probes, Locations, Templates, ...
- be defined through direkt assignment, assignment via variables or via regexp-Definitions
