I think it would be very handy to be able to simply add a dependency to a node from it's edit screen. Instead of a "Manage Dependencies" button while editing a node, how about the option to add one or more nodes/groups as a parent/child right on that page? With the way our infrastructure is built (76 locations), I need to create hundreds of groups and dependencies in order to prevent alerts from spamming our inboxes. Here's an overview of our setup for context: ASA --> Router --> Servers (we don't monitor switches, our users do a great job of letting us know when those die 
).
This would require each location to have two dependencies... one with the ASA as parent, and a group for the router and servers as the child... and another with the router as a parent, and a group for servers as the child. Creating the dependencies alone is tedious enough, let alone creating the groups that are required to add multiple nodes to a dependency. I suppose a secondary request here would be the ability to add multiple nodes as parents/children without requiring them to be in a group.
