Hello World! I'm hoping that I am not the first one to have this question and that somebody has figured this out. We want to create dashboard so that we can see where the status of business services. The statuses we have in mind are Online, Degraded and Offline. The degraded status is what we are having trouble with. Allow…
Can a node be part of two dependency groups?
I have all the switches and WLC dependent on upstream devices. Yet, I still get alerts on every single AP when the power goes out. I don't get alerts on the parents (core switch and wireless controllers) but do on every single access point. I do not see a way to add a dependency for the access points since they are not…
Develop a feature in SolarWinds that automatically creates dependencies based on Host-VM relationships, thereby making VMs unreachable when the host is down. This will improve the accuracy of alerts and reduce false positives. Automatic Dependency Mapping: VMAN already knows the relationships between hosts and their…
Hello, we have some error on auto dependency result, so we had try to delete it. but we can't do it, can you help us please : [View:https://ibb.co/rcH4g9T:1107:350] [View:https://ibb.co/rcH4g9T:1107:50] Regards
Please. Please. PLEASE. Creating dependencies is pretty clunky at the moment. It would be super neat if we could enable automatic dependency mapping for specific nodes, instead of having to choose between all or nothing. Improved dependency creation has huge potential for SolarWinds. Right now I have over 400 500 600 700…
Hey everyone, I started to look into dependenices, and it appears all of our auto generated dependencies tend to be along the switch/router/firewall side of things. Has anyone had any luck with dependencies and virtual machines? Ideally the parent object would be a cluster or an individual host (test environment, non-ha…
Hi everybody, I need your help for a tricky case. We have several sites monitored (with Router, firewall, switch, AP, Controller etc) and we don't use dependencies. For a site, all equipment are stored in one group and we don't want to receive massive alerts when a site goes down. How should we proceed to receive only one…
My node dependencies work most of the time. But sometimes a node goes down and its parent is also down but has not been polled yet. I received the advice from service desk to alter the timings of polling for each node to it is polled less often than its parent. 1) That kinda defeats the purpose of the automatic…
Please add a search function and or better ways to filter in the Manage Dependency section of NPM. With larger deployments it is not user friendly and wastes time when auto dependencies are in the thousands.
