We need a way to create a custom field to be tied to a form through a category/subcategory but that is hidden from the end-user on the form. Specifically, this would be for Service Catalog items, but it would be helpful on Incidents as well.
Hi, you should be able to do this now with custom forms, field logic, and dynamic forms. With field logic you can specify to hide fields from certain groups, users, etc and you can enable and disable those fields also. The way you would do this for a service catalog is to have a custom form that appends itself to the service request after submission by creating a dynamic form rule to append the form based on the same category or subcategory of the service request. Hi Joey, thanks for the information. I followed your guidance, but cannot proceed. There is no option for scope on a Dynamic Form Rule creation for Service Catalog items.
