I came across what I feel is a bug, but I can also see how it is just a flaw in the system either way I am asking that this be changed in future versions and also have more features added around security, and the permissions and restricts that can be applied to the site.
In the current release of Orion you can restrict a person's account to only be able to see a specific device, or group of devices but if any view they have has access to a map they can hover over a device they do have access too and in the pop up select the option to view more custom properties about the device and be taken to Custom Property editor and view all device and all custom properties for any device in the system. The account I discovered this on did not have the ability to change anything as they had absolutely zero control to do anything but view a small subset of devices. Use this what I feel is a backdoor they were able to get around all security settings and view again all devices and custom properties. I feel that link should either be removed or what I feel it's original intention was is to take you to a list of all custom properties for ONLY that specific device.
It would also be helpful if we can get more granular and customizable with the permissions available to the website administrator.
The samething along the lines of the resources; and page layouts. Like have the ability to not only change the column width but the resource width as well. So if we wanted one resource to be X by Y, and then the resource right below is to either be larger or smaller without changing the whole column paramaters would be helpful. In the area's where there might be blank spaces caused by the sizing of resources we could either have them field with blank spaces or squeeze another resource into it.
On the topic of resources it would be nice if we could take specific resources that would normally appear on a Node Details page and place it on a Summary page.
