Network Devices - Asset Updates Requested

Network Devices should have the ability to be:

Renamed
Exported
Assigned a User
Assigned an Asset Tag

These are core functions of an Asset Management System that are not implemented. It is sad that this has not changed in the 5 years since I last used this product. It makes reconciling assets to a user (a goal of any asset management system) near impossible.

I agree whole-heartedly, the approach to assets (all areas) needs a great deal of work to be a truly useful asset tracking & control system. There was talk back in 2023 of a total redesign of the Assets and CI into a combined/standardized ITAM approach, but those efforts have fallen silent in the 2024 quarterly updates. Perhaps SolarWinds needs to expand their development team staffing so they can catch-up on these long outstanding Feature Request and past promises.
