When a node is unmanaged, it not possible to see its traps and syslogs through the viewers.
I think it would be great to have the ability decide it we want to see traps and syslog from unmanaged nodes.
Are you sure that It's not possible? I quite sure it was few years back...

I was under this impression, but the only thing we found was that traps for nodes that are not in the inventory can be viewed (or not) by modifying a config file.
Unmanaging a device for a maintenance so alerts are not triggered is one thing. But not seing traps or syslog during your maintenance is a pain and can be risky.
We opened a cases with Solarwinds about this. We were told this is design intend. There is now a feature request open for this.
However, note that I understand that the syslog and traps are still in the database even if you can't see them in the viewers.
