We are planning to manage our assets in the most efficient and automated way possible.
I already know that there is an option in the Mobile App to scan the QR code, which will bring you to the asset page, and from there, make the necessary changes on the go.
We are wondering if you can implement the following functionality: Once the QR code is scanned, SolarWinds will leave an entry against the asset, regardless of where and how, but the entry will have at least the date and time when the device's QR code was scanned. Ideally, the entry will have Data/Time and Name of the person who scanned (checked in the device)
The ideal scenario would the following:
Device received by IT technician
The technician scans the QR code
Scanning action creates an entry in the asset audit
In the Automated Rule menu, use that action as a trigger to create a rule to automatically change the status of the asset to In Stock
