I have only been a SolarWinds Service Desk customer for a few short months, but so far my biggest challenge and source of frustration has been the lack of consistency with the features and functions of the various asset type screens within the Assets section. There is a very long list of features or functions missing from the various asset type screens - too many to create a itemized list, so I figured the best approach is to submit a single feature request asking that all of the screens/sections have the same features and functions.
A couple examples that need to be addressed:
On the Software Assets screen the Search option is missing, and once you drill into a single software item, you loose all ability to edit/manage the view
Another example is the missing Edit functions for assets other the Computers - Networked Devices still have sites, departments, technical contacts, and owners.
All scanned/detected devices should be able to have their names edited, and have additional/custom fields added to their asset regardless of type.
I think you see where I am going with this - one standard uniform set of screens, features, functions available for all assets regardless of their device type.
