We are in the process of transitioning from running our helpdesk on an Ubuntu VM to using the Virtual Appliance supplied by Solarwinds. I found that SSH is enabled on this "out of the box". It would be great to have a checkbox in the appliance management web console to disable/enable SSH. This way SSH could be enabled if/when it is needed. I realize this can be done by logging into the console but it is my viewpoint that part of the advantage to a VA is that it can be a hardened and optimized appliance which requires little configuration at the OS level.
