API key authentication

It would be very valuable to have API keys for automation, and not be limited to HTTPS Basic authentication (username and password) or PowerShell API client Windows authentication (Kerberos). Ideally we could specify Read Only, Manage Nodes, etc for different API keys.

This would be great feature, API calls are more present with the automation and a granular API key management will ease their usage.

I would agree, this is needed as basic authentication is not valuable in my scripts. Preferrable would be an application key and a secret.
