When users complain of poor VDI experience it usually has to do with slow responsiveness to mouse movements or programs opening slowly or slow windows operation such as opening the Start menu. Is there any way any of this can be captured with VM Manager? Or other?
Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I've created a report that displays some general VM details and when setting up its schedule, to email me once a month, it says that this report can not be exported as a CSV or an Excel file unless it's a custom resource or the deprecated Report Writer is used. I'm not clear…
We have a 192-socket VMAN license. We ended up with more VMWare hosts than we anticipated and maxed out our license, which caused new VMWare hosts to be polled using basic polling. We have several standalone hosts (not monitored through a vCenter) that we switched from VMAN Orion polling to Basic polling, so we now have…
The attached VMs+Reclaimable+CPU+and+Memory.xml file is a custom table report utilizing the VMAN Recommendations feature. It lists all virtual machines where CPU and/or memory can be reclaimed (i.e. the over-allocated machines). You can import the report in Orion via REPORTS > All Reports > Manage Reports > EXPORT/IMPORT.…

I have a VM environment were 10 out of 11 nodes has been added without issues, where one particular node is testing successful but goes into unknown state post adding it. I tried adding again but no luck,. Any help will be appreciated. I have opened a support case but still didn't got a solution
in VMAN resources in the Orion Web Console > Virtual Cluster Details there's a "DRS vMotion Rate". Mine is "4". I'm interested to know: Four what? and per how long? and if I can graph it. (this cluster does about 600 DRS vmotions a day). Many thanks
We have Orion, but do not have the vMAN license. We are wondering if anyone has come up with a way to auto-manage nodes without vMAN. Anyone done this? Have any tips, hints, tricks?
Hi all, We're currently evaluating Solarwinds Virtualization Manager. Primary use case is performance monitoring of our on-premises VMware environment. We've noticed however that we cannot seem to select virtual disk counters like Read Rate (MBps) and Write Rate (MBps) for each individual vdisk (eg. iscsi 0:0, iscsi 1:0)…
Hi all, I'm relatively new to Solarwinds and would like to expand our Hyper-V virtualisation monitoring. However, I can see that our Hyper-V Virtualisation page is thread bare with only two servers listed and yet I can tell you that we have about 200 Hyper-V hosts. Doing some preliminary checks and it looks like the…
