The primary example I have is in NPM when adding a new node/editing existing node and selecting SNMP/WMI/Agent and selecting an existing saved credential, or Network Discovery. Right now they appear to be sorted by credentialID, essentially being the order they were created in. Example:
We have many cisco switch stacks and love that Solarwinds can monitor all of the switch ports using a single IP (just was we benefit from having a single entity to manage and monitor) Unfortunately, I've just discovered that our new Meraki retail implementation throws Solarwinds a curve ball it cannot handle. Even a 2…
Our organisation uses Ping ID for our MFA into systems. If there any thoughts of Solarwinds adding Ping ID to the list of providers it can work with? We have tried to get this working in our test system, but we are unable to do this. It would be great if this could be done as it would get our cyber department off my back
Solarwinds doesn't support VRF monitoring in current versions. We are unable to monitor routing from VRFs.
The network discovery page (/Orion/Discovery/Default.Aspx) is super outdated. The page really, really needs an update. What I'd like to see is: Customizable fields of display data (such as displaying information from the Orion.DiscoveryProfiles table), including things like: # of nodes found, # of nodes changed, # of…
Provide automated recommendations for resolving detected issues, reducing mean time to resolution and minimizing manual effort.
Hi, we would love to see, that the Linux Agent gets native support for SLES Micro. At the moment it's possible to install the Redhat Agent on our SLES Micro servers. Best regards
In many environments, monitoring devices one by one isn’t enough. What we really need is a business service–level view that shows how applications, middleware, databases, servers, and the underlying network are connected, and how healthy they are as a whole. SolarWinds already provides Orion Maps and PerfStack for…
Right now in SolarWinds NPM, most of the alerts are threshold-based. Either we set static thresholds or use dynamic baselines, but in both cases we end up getting too many false positives or sometimes even missing real issues. In modern networks (hybrid, cloud, SD-WAN, etc.) traffic patterns are not always predictable. A…
It would be great to be able to copy an object I created such as a rectangle. For example I create this object Now I would like to duplicate it but currently that's not an option. I have to recreate it.
