We would like to request an enhancement in SolarWinds Maps to allow administrators/users to delete or globally hide incorrect dynamic connections between interfaces.
Currently, we are facing an issue where some interfaces in the topology maps are incorrectly connected, even though the CDP neighbors are accurate. While the delete icon for these connections appears, it is greyed out, preventing us from removing the incorrect links. As administrators, we can only use the “eye” icon to hide the connection, but as confirmed with the SolarWinds Support Team (Case #02034188), this action only hides the connection per user and does not remove or hide it globally.
Request:
- Please enable the delete icon for dynamic connections so that administrators/users can remove incorrect connections.
or - Provide an option to globally hide dynamic connections so that the changes are reflected for all users who have access to the topology map.
Impact:
This limitation causes confusion among users who see different versions of the network map and incorrect topology data, making troubleshooting and network documentation inconsistent.
