4 Years - 144,000 points

I signed up for Thwack four yeas ago and have earned over one-hundred-forty-four thousand points. Seems like only yesterday.

Most of the points come from missions and others come from helping out Solarwinds. I have made myself available to the Usability team, been on conference calls with prospective customers and looked for easy points.

Easy ones like "Linking my Thwack account to the Customer Portal" 2000 points. Are you linking?

Oh yeah!!!! 5 months... and I am just about ready to hit 22K - Love everything about the site, the people, how they make learning fun!! I am finding myself getting more and more involved... because it is fun!!! It has me wanting to try out different tools... and I am getting more experience by attempting to help others!! Can't say enough about how really cool everything is ... and ... the SWAG ... well .. that is a bonus that makes it even more interesting... although ... I did break the basketball hoop today!!! I guess you are not supposed to throw the ball like a baseball!!! My aim was right .... just the wrong sport!! I digress... I LOVE THWACK!!! Keep the positive vibes flowing!!! I am catching up to you Radioteacher !!! Don't look back... don't have a THWACK ATTACK!!! Thanks for the encouragement!!!

I am half way there, I just passed DanielleH and broke the 70K mark. I am excited, but my store points are lower. i only have about 39K in store points left because i had owned about everything in the store i wanted. Now with the points price increase, it will be a long time before i see that awesome multi play table....

Congrats everyone on continuing to level up! I'm currently contemplating lowering the price of some of those higher-end store items. I need to dig into some more stats... stay tuned.

In the past 7 months I have put 40k to my tally. But then again I have lost contact with my wife and kids and I am about to get fired... but it is totally worth it! :-)

Yeah ... that sounds a little severe ... I am still in good standing with my husband and dog (son has already left the house!!)... and my job recently noticed my Thwack Backpack ... had some comments ... they have no clue what THWACK is ... a lot of SWAG has been surfacing at the office ... I may be in trouble when they catch on ... NOT ... I consider THWACK to be "CA" credits (continuing education)!!

Some, seem so simple, but aren't. Like the points for seeker.... Ask a question it tells you. But it doesn't tell you WHERE? I ask lots of questions...

So much in which to participate and earn points--so little time!

I've got to figure a way to work remotely for SW. Their products are just too good and to fun to not spend more time with.

That also goes for their staff and developers!

I do have a little help to provide you .... Ask a Question - after you have signed in ... click on Create drop down menu - that is where you can ask a question, stat a poll, Upload content .... etc....

Also - you did complete the newbie training ... worth lots of point!!! That exercise will expose you to almost everything in the community .. will stimulate you to click on more!!!

You should've done this as a question, then you can mark your own answer as correct for more points

Everyone on the thread that is a point hunter (guilty!) missed the biggest (and often easiest) one of all - DO A UX SESSION. It's usually worth about 2,000 points for 30 minutes of "work", and you get to influence the direction of the products as well.

Oh, and you totally get a peek behind the curtain at what is coming up next.

So let's see:

1) get to see what the next version looks like

2) get your opinions heard (and possibly acted on)

3) POINTS

That's the secret, my friends. Give meech a call/email/post-owl and she'll set you up!

I spend all my points getting shirts for people in the office. I don't do my job alone so the people that help me end up with a lot of swag. Polo shirts are the most popular, and I think I've bought over 50 packs of buttons... they're everywhere at work!

Yes. It is. It would be easy to spend more hours on Thwack than doing paid-for work.

It's says I joined November 20, 2009... It's nice to still see many of the same people around after all these years. I actually started using SW Engineering toolset in the 90's and remember when SW first aquired Orion product. The new thwack website is much much improved from the original and so many added features and customization have been done... thanks mrs.alterego for doing some of the tricky stuff! I've gotten lazy at times or worked on other things but somehow I always get back to Orion somehow! The product sure has changed and branched out... when you have people like aLTeReGo and mcbridea creating stuff look out! What started out as the first GUI tools for working with Cisco routers sure has branched out! I've been a point slacker at times I suppose... we used to not have levels but just this little stick man that would grow until you had this stick man with stuff all glowing around it. The new thwack website has seriously grown into a more advanced system... that's for sure. MUCH Improved!

Started with Solarwinds and Thwack December 31st 2015 and have been having fun with the missions and the community since I joined. Lots of great answers and 19000 points later some nice swag. My coworkers are all jealous of my Thwackpack and my SCP cup!

Speaking of items in the store. Is there a way that a brief description could be added to some of the items. ie: The "Thwack Water bottle" I'm interested in knowing what is it made out of, is it insulated, how many ounces will it hold, etc...? This would be great! ! !

Love mine too!!! I ran to 10K and grabbed it!!! I feel special that I made it before the points hike!!! I am on a mission for the messenger bag now!!! My office is getting cluttered with SW Swag ... I have received a lot of cool things just by providing feedback or screen shots! My boss now knows the term SolarWinds ..... hate to say it ... its good though... she talks you all up ... but has absolutely no idea what I am doing, but I keep things running smooth .. and it correlates with the mission!! My mission is to make her look good!! Thanks SW Tools and THWACK Community for helping me look good!!! I surround myself with successful people.
