Simply put, yes you can if the manufacturer of the device you want to monitor provides that capability. We monitor several types of radio and and also microwave links for some of our clients via SNMP.

I've discussed with ten different Cisco CCIE experts, I've also stood in a room with 4 CCIE's who couldn't work out that an interface wasn't passing traffic because it was shutdown. YMMV 😉

LOL - love this reply.

Tagging in @Walshy to provide an update…

Anywhere there is a Firewall or Load balancer of similar datacentre tech involved then auto-mapping starts to fail. This is an issue across the board with mapping tech, regardless of whom (I've seen identical issues with WhatsUp Gold and other similar NMS's). Auto Mappers work great where it is a simple router to switch to…

As we move away from using SWOSH as our primary tool [not my choice but as it happens I now agree] then these are just some of my items that SWI have never properly addressed. - Full and proper RBAC control over every aspect of the interface. e.g. allow designated users full access to view and interrogate nodes (including…

Now that's funny. But, like your meme image, it would just make me think of Home Alone. I'm not good with creating names for things or purposes but I will have a think.

I guess a congrats are in order. I originally joined ages ago, to try and win prizes. But back then I never understood the point of the monthly mission, nor how to navigate what I had to do. I suspect my original User ID is still somewhere in the system as well. Skip forward many years [plus a decade] and I started to use…

Be aware that the heatmap is a "once and done". It is not a "living" tool showing your coverage, which is what a heatmap should do. e.g. if you setup and generate your heatmap then it is purely a snapshot of that point in time. If, subsequently, an AP or two go offline it will show those APs as down, but your coverage map…

I suspect this is one of those "WADs" - aka working as designed. I've noticed that not all data in the DB is equal when it comes to creating widgets or modern dashboards. You could try reaching out to your product manager and see if they have any internal links that could advise.

There is a way to do this, but it is limited. If you are adding network nodes, eg switches then use the Settings > Network Discovery approach otherwise you will have to individually go and 'list resources' for each node anyway, essentially eliminating any time saved by bulk importing. TBH - whatever you add, if they are…

The links work fine in my little bit of South Wales - which last I checked is still in the UK 🤪- but they do give an ugly box saying something about my location being wrong, but at least I can see the prize suggestion [not that I've ever won anything].
-
If we do that, I’ll award full points for the month to anyone who answered at least one question And therein lies another issue - nobody has been able to answer the questions. Only the shortcut is working. But to your actual question: yes, I agree that suspending the quiz is the best approach rather than leave more folks…

I tried this - looks good but lacks some info from what I'd like to see if I used this. So, I expanded your SELECT section to be: SELECT N1.Caption AS SourceNode ,T.SrcInterfaceID ,N1.Interfaces.Caption ,N2.Caption AS DestinationNode ,T.DestInterfaceID ,N2.Interfaces.Caption BUT a warning…if you have a lot of interfaces…

That would be a no, sadly.

The thing here is that "by default" the Fortinets are wireless controllers. It's just a template thing so all you need do, as @martms has stated is change the template that is in use. As to it not picking up it's a 100F then that is a poller issue and you need to install one of the custom pollers out there, for e.g.…

It's fairly straightforward to do this. Go to: Settings > All Settings and under 'Node & Group' select Manage Groups. Find the group you want [sorry, no search here] and tick the box - but make sure only the one box is ticked - n.b. manage groups is very good at ticking things you didn't think you had so be ultra cautious…

I've commented out the Client.Prefix line as that's one of our Custom Properties.

Hi… apologies for slow reply but I wasn't alerted with the funky new THWACK. As per my opening post, I haven't filtered out irrelevant ports Anyway, the report code looks like this: SELECT NodeCaption AS [Device Name], AgentIP AS [Device IP], COUNT( CASE WHEN n.Interfaces.OperStatus = 'Up' THEN 1 ELSE NULL END ) AS [Oper…

Sure in JOBS, there is a section where you select your nodes. Just pick the ones you want then. N.B. it might be easier to create a custom property for all your nodes of a certain IOS, and then use that in the picker.

Appreciate you remembering to reply anyway - thanks Thomas.

This is my first ever bracket battle as only looked on in bemusement before. Anyway, points don't seem to be being awarded - or are they all added up behind the scenes and awarded at the end?
-
Looking forward to it.

And in return I have to disagree with you #10 I just can't work through even though I have the two letter clues from the prior answer.
-
What - no hint? The horror BTW - are winners ever listed somewhere
-
This has been discussed a few times and I have even had a phone chat about it with @"jblankjblank" so have tagged him in. More and more of us want/need the updates but don't want the pain of converting old world stuff to new.

Yeah - it wasn't nice and I hesitated big time before taking the plunge. Thankfully got it right.

I recall thinking..."I haven't bowled this much in a decade" and must have played 20 games all by myself.

This is a total aside @"yumdarling" With regards to the registration & screenshot submission - can I ask (if you know) where you get the UK county details from? Where I work (and live), the county you have listed hasn't existed for 25years... Mid Glamorgan ceased to exist in 1996 and it was replaced with 6 smaller…

Did you get this one yet? If not, see my reply to molnizame and also others that have replied, but I found it best to separate the "phrase" into two distinct words and then work out what letters are missing from the start to make two other words. It's those missing letters you need. HTH?
