And a Pro MVP tip back at you 😁 Just search THWACK!
-
I'd suggest you could start by reading the answers to your last very similar question. Over here:
-
Today's is sneaky @mariefab 😉 Truth be told, I do read the announcements looking for my name 😁😁 but who actually remembers?
-
If I understand, you want to connect PowerBI to Solarwinds. A quick web search gives me this: Failing that, a search of prior posts in THWACK might help: In no particular order try: or
-
@mariefab and @John.Summers Is there a timed release for each day's questions? I ask as I'm an early starter and try to get them out of the way before kicking in to work mode - around 7am. But here we are, almost 08:30
-
Meanwhile, I'm F5'ing the page waiting for today's question to be released 🤣
-
And we are off. 😁
-
@mariefab Am I just too early/keen as I can't see any sign of the new mission? 😁
-
It's been a long time coming since I raised my initial "please can you fix" post but great to see this si finally sorted. Only query, in what release did the advanced alert appear? My read of your post is that there shoudl essentially be two OOB alerts now, but our clients still only see one?
-
Most of your "suggested" additional alerts would be considered noise to our environments. Unless you have explicit SLA's or contractual requirements for the above suggestions then my opinion (for what it is worth) is forget them. For example. Utilisation thresholds should, to my mind, be 100% in a report. Or at least not…
-
I'm no S(W)QL guru but sharing what you've tried already would be a great aid to those that are.
-
Sorry, but that's just nuts. 99% of the auto-generated links we have/had are interfaces. If the node is down, then the interface will also be down, and as such, the map should depict that. Network Atlas behaved that way, so why would a newer product from the same company not behave the same way? No answer actually required…
-
I saw the opening post about it coming … and then there was this that appeared a day or so later.
-
Perfect. Diolch yn fawr.
-
I've never won a prize but I do like to try and complete the questions. For me, it's about trying to get all the right answers, and sometimes that used to mean I'd do 5 answers in one day to play catchup. If I'm off, on training, sick or some personal crisis going on (and boy do I) then knowing I'm not forced to turn up…
-
@mariefab / @John.Summers As someone who comes here almost daily, then I didn't see the mission announcement until today - a week late. And thus can't even attempt to complete all the questions. As others keep saying, the unlocks aren't viable for those of us that have busy work lives, and in my case an extremely busy and…
-
Can you share the UnDP itself? And also a screenshot of your current alert config would be helpful? If so I'll see if I can replicate it and test at my side.
-
@mariefab same here ..?
-
Additionally where can I see my total accumlitive points That would be on your profile page Jeremy. Or at least that's where I see mine. Current points are in the list and quite small, but accumulative are just below the 'About Me' section.
-
p.s. not overly bothered about missing out on points, but getting the unique badges then I'm all in.
-
Shame - I've been away and busy elsewhere so have now completely missed Monday and Tuesday so my progress looks like this: Usually I do come daily to see if there are any queries I can assist with and do the mission alongside it. Always loved the fact that I could play catchup when time suited me. This approach means I, a…

This new platform feels extremely not polished. Oh, and don't get me started on the woes of the "new" mapping setup. I've shouted long and loud about it, and a lot of my suggestions have now been implemented but sadly not all. it works for 1 way but the other way creates a 2 way link. And one of the reasons I never add…
-
you assign "Egress" or "Ingress", You only need to assign egress and ingress when you create a link to a node that you do not monitor. Such as a WAN link. See my screenshot where the left hand side does not have an node to link with, but in this case it is just an image of a cloud… Essentially so long as one is in and one…
-
Shame… I see SWI fixed part of the problem with unmanaging nodes but not all of it from the GUI. And they seem to keep doing this… announce X is being deprecated launch Y as it's replacement but not all of the functionality of X. I know we are now in a world of AI, but expecting everyone to have unlimited access to it or…

Time to raise an incident with support - they are best placed to help with upgarde issues.
-
However, in Intelligent Maps, there does not appear to be an option to do this. Absolutely you can do this. First, select the two nodes you want to link (N.B. shift select does not work - either Ctrl select or drag and select) and then from the toolbar at the top select this icon Having done that click the configure button…

Thanks Bala - I will need to read and re-read this a few times to make sure I fully understand it but it does sound like a solution has been found. It will be interesting to try this out "in the wild".
-
so NCM may misclassify it as a Wireless Controller. Out of the box IT IS a Wireless Controller. This is not an incorrect identification issue, it is purely a human issue. The fact that you, or I are not using it as a wireless controller does not stop it from being one. To fix, it is simply a matter of, as several posts…
-
Can you share your report setup? VLan is just another type of interface so shouldn't have an issue.
-
I'd not heard of AKIPS before so just spent a few minutes finding out. As to your query - via UnDPs is the answer. As @bobmarley reply points out this will save him that effort.
