  • Thank you good sir.
  • Hi Tom, I added an operation the way I detailed it above and worked just fine as you said..operation went green in IP SLAM. =) Thanks so much for the help, really appreciate it. - Pau
  • Hi, can I ask how were you able to process the percentage using interface speed? It's quite a struggle for me. Thank you.
  • Thanks Andy and Quang..i forgot the SQL option in event log actions..i'll certainly use this in our advance alerts. Thanks again, really appreciate it.
  • Hi Rick, Wow, this is a great breakdown on how you resolved your NCM issues. Now, i know at least what to expect when i try to work around the NCM settings for my config download jobs. Thanks so much for taking time with this and helping out an NCM newbie, really appreciate it. thanks! - Paulo
  • Hello dan jagnow, thanks for responding. I'm getting repeating errors for the following: 2019-09-30 13:40:50,621 [102] ERROR SolarWinds.InformationService.Core.InformationService - (null) (null) Exception for Operation: <s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope"…
  • Its a custom property for nodes, and the type of property to monitor is set to nodes as well for the alert..that's why I'm mystified it doesn't show up. Thanks.
  • Hi Tom, I am using the pre-created reports, but I just renamed the report and unchecked some of the parameters such as jitter and delay, retaining only the max and avg latency. The operation is configured in 60s. Thanks. - Pau
  • Hi Sean, Sorry, I actually wasn't able to update my signature..we are already using NPM v.10.1, so I guess this is reoccurring?
  • Hope someone here in thwack has an answer for this..because opening a ticket didn't do me any good..
  • Thanks for the link on the Feature Request! Knew RTP wasn't really a go because it was UDP, and SIP seems to work with both TCP and UDP so that was my only option. My knowledge in SIP behavior is limited so I was hoping someone has tried it with Netpath and at least got some results.
  • Thanks for sharing the script! Will try this one out too.
  • That fixed the whole thing, and I was expecting something more complicated. LOL. Learned something new today. Thanks so much Dan!
  • Yes, this error was on the website, on the Last 25 Events view. Thanks for the heads up. Pau
  • Yup, it just doesn't save the settings you SAVED..it really is tiring to change the format every time I generate a report..and we generate about 12 reports every week, so it seems annoying..didn't submit a ticket on this coz i thought this was just a simple problem and somebody here at the forum may know how to fix it.…
  • Hi Matt, Just the sequence that I wanted to do, but you erased any doubt that it would cause any hassle in the upgrade. Many thanks!
  • Hi, Report Writer seems to hang for so long when I run this report..it gets stuck, I don't know what's the problem. Pau
  • Maps were working great previously, and then all of a sudden the site icons are not appearing anymore and what's left is just the map. Has anyone encountered the same issue and found a solution? The SQL query still works fine. Thanks in advance.
  • Great stuff GoldTipuThanks! Keep 'em coming please
  • So stupid of me..had to copy the CustomPropertyEditor.trace file to the web servers. The markers I made are already appearing on the other web servers. :)
  • Hi, I believe this is not possible yet, as this pretty much is the same when everyone wanted a feature like this for interface traffic on network devices, showing an aggregated number, so this should be a feature request. Regards, Paulo
  • Hi patriot, I think this is not quite possible yet, as currently you can only aggregate either transmit or receive traffic at a time. But what I do usually is I put end-to-end interfaces on one aggregate graph, so the incoming traffic on one interface will be the outgoing traffic of the other interface, so you can sum it…
  • This is the same case with Reports and Network Maps, and i haven't found any solution to this..i admit this causes some headaches on my part too. I'm not good in web development either, cause I'm sure this requires some tweaks in the back end..

  • Hello! Groups are commonly used in creating dependencies, which is another feature in Orion. Very often you have a group of devices sitting behind one gateway, or the parent, and you'd want to avoid receiving multiple alerts when SolarWinds loses connectivity to all these devices everytime the parent goes down. So a…
  • Hi Ross, I had the same error in Manage Nodes before, but it was more of an SQL connection error than lack of memory as the error log tells you. In my case, it was more of a congestion in SQL transactions to the SQL server, and the performance really depends on the number of devices you are monitoring, number of solarwinds…
  • Hi ekdge, I believe there is no default password here, are you also managing the SQL server you are using for Orion?you should seek some help from your DBAs or create a new login to use. :)
  • Hi brewcity, I believe you have the right approach regarding the dependencies you want. There is no other way for you to limit the alerts constructively than by creating a group as a dependency, which is all the reason why SolarWinds created this feature. But with regards to the group not showing up on the All Groups view,…
  • Hi Mr. Wick, Same here with me, I used to add devices which are ICMP only and when I access their Node Details page and it says Wireless Controller. I don't know if this is a bug, and haven't asked support if it is. Anyways, you can change this by accessing SQL or via SolarWinds Database Manager, going to your NPM DB and…
  • Hi, Hope these ramblings will help: Availability for an interface will require some SQL code to employ, i ran into this post when I was curious of the same thing : . You can create an IP SLA operation on the interface and be able to monitor its latency as well via IP SLA Manager, and there's a report for that. With the…
  • Hi, It seems you did the right thing by asking NetAPP support regarding this, so if they have no information to give you for the kind of OID you want, then maybe its something for them to work on and include on a newer MIB release. They should be able to provide you this, being the support and all. Regards, Paulo
