  • Hi bunny, I guess its best that you file a support ticket for this, as this may be a documented bug. Regards, Paulo
  • Hi, I believe this feature request for the scheduler has been already lined up, because email/pdf is the only option as of this moment. But this can also be accomplished via SQL, in which you create a job for the SQL Agent service and use the Import and Export wizard. Maybe you have a DBA in your company that can help you…
  • Hi, I took a look at the interwebs for your questions 1 & 2, as I was curious too if this was an OID readily available and one that I might need next time. I found this: Solved: MIB branch to poll for route table size - Cisco Support Community The post was 8 years ago and I'm not sure anything much easier to query has…
  • Hi, Is this applicable in v9.5.1?Has anyone tried it yet? Thanks! Paulo
  • Hi Obet, I think this is possible, that bursts like this could surpass the physical bandwidth. IMO, the moment it reaches 1.1 Gbps is I think the time when you should start doubting the traffic you are polling. Doing a load test again and simultaneously checking the traffic on the interface via console should further…
  • Hi mar1, I'm not much of a Linux guy, but I know you can import nodes into NCM via text file, excel spreadsheet and an Access or SQL Server db. Just go to NCM in your server, go to File -> Import Devices. Maybe you can find a way to convert that hosts file into a text file or csv, then you are good to go :)
  • This is very much possible in v9, if what you mean is that you want to set up views of these devices according to their group, or manage them by filtering the groups you want. By tagging the devices via a custom property, you can set the groups you want already. But if what you mean is to set group dependencies, then its…
  • Hi, You may refer to this solution on the SW knowledgebase. :) http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/3476/Website+Error%3A+The+URL-encoded+form+data+is+not+valid. Thanks.
  • You can try using UnDP. Find out the poller associated for VolumePercentUsed, then Transform the results in UnDP using your formula, then in turn use the Custom Poller that u made in an alert. Hope that helps.
  • Hi Raul, Yes, it is very much possible to install IPAM on the same server as your other SolarWinds products, provided that you consider the current size of network devices you're monitoring. Are you just using one polling engine? What are the other products installed? Are you already experiencing slowness in the app that you…
  • Hi Doc, As far as I know, you can't use a variable string ($) in a like statement, but I never tried using that before, usually its a simple string and commonly i use a pattern in a node's caption or their custom properties, like "Nodes. Caption LIKE" or "Nodes.ClusterGrp". You can also go to Manage Views and specify a…
  • I think there are 3 different answers to these: 1. If it is an external hostname, like a www.google.com, you can actually add it as a node in Orion NPM and consequently be able to monitor its latency and packet loss as a node. 2. If you already have Server and Application Monitor (SAM), then you can use the application…
  • Hi, just wanted to make sure I understand you correctly. You were able to successfully integrate SNOW to SW, and got an alert to trigger an incident ticket. But the contents of the ticket were not properly populated, correct? Were you able to check in the SNI_AlertIncidents table in your Orion DB if the ticket's details…
  • Hi ding, were you/your team able to provide a resolution to this? Evaluating IPAM as well and getting zero results when running a discovery through a router. All ports are allowed throught the FW and SNMP works fine as well.
  • Hi, There might be a reason why netflow data is not being collected. As was suggested in the interface details, perhaps you should recheck your configuration and check if there is actual data or any similar represetation on the device CLI in order to know the agent is generating netflow/sflow data. Also, the netflow port…
  • Hi, Perhaps this change is already something for SolarWinds' development team and is not customizable, unless you try looking into the web files if you can change it there. I suggest you highlight this as a feature request for the next release. Regards, Paulo
  • Hi, The data gaps may be caused by your configured polling interval not able to cope up with the number of elements in your polling engine. You may use the Polls per Second Tuning tool to properly tune your polling engine. Just go to your server --> Programs --> SolarWinds Orion --> Advance Features. You will see there a…
  • Hi, were you able to find anything else in the logs when you enabled Debug logging in the application monitor? Or just the same WebAdministration error?
  • Hi Ekarola, That's strange..in your advanced alert, did you change the type of property to monitor to Custom Node Poller?
  • Hi, Does anyone know the answer to the 2nd question? Is it possible to demote a node from SNMP monitoring to ICMP only. Thanks.
  • Hi Ian, The alert should look something like below. This will satisfy your second question, when it would alert if a service (in this case, example is sqlserver.exe) is not running on either server. For your second question, just switch the selected status and try to play around with it. You just have to make sure you…
  • Have you had any luck or any help with this? Can't get the right syntax either to add the IP Address of the client. Thanks in advance! Paulo
  • Hi Booloo You're on the right track but maybe just on the wrong folder. You can check the IntegrationIcons.ascx file and edit it, located here: SolarWinds\Orion\NetPerfMon\Controls. Hope that helps. :)
  • Hi solarnewbie, I've tried looking into the resource file of the Top 10 Desk Space Used and it seems this returns a ready-made table that I can't get my hands on. I understand what you need to do, but it seems this is the only option for now, as it sorts out all entries by disk usage regardless if it belongs to a single…
  • Feel kinda sad about this, but at the same time it's somehow inevitable. Took my first SCP exam back in 2010 through the generosity of our SolarWinds account manager (a free voucher! ), figured it would be awesome to be certified on a product that I really love. After passing, sincerely to my surprise, my SCP sort of…
  • Hello! this might help, but the change needs to be applied on your proxy settings. Capture Netflow Traffic of a Endpoint through a Proxy Server - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support
  • Hello! The difference is just how the device is connected to it's "neighbors" either in layer 2 (the data link layer) or layer 3 (network layer). When you say L2, the default device is a network switch, where connectivity is managed through unique MAC addresses on each switchport and ports of the devices connected to it.…
  • Hi! I just checked and it seems there should be an underscore in between Entity and Physical, so ncm_entity_physical. Maybe you just missed it.
  • I'm having the same issue right now, was there already a solution to this? The web display does fine, but I get no data from Report Writer..
  • Hi! There are out-of-the-box reports for SRM that you can use readily. In the menu, go to Reports > All Reports, then in the All Reports page, under Report Category, click on Storage. If the reports don't suit your requirements, you can always edit them by clicking on the report, or use the very flexible Report Writer in…
