Bump, both for this and a data warehouse
-
Hi Lofstrand. Sounds like a different scenario, but be useful to upload to Content exchange and useful to others. Thanks
-
Thanks for the reply. I will have a look in this .log file. I think it was the 2020 versions that went to all in 1 installer. This is a production platform, which I have thought of running the repair. But I spent time yesterday getting the justification of upgrading. Which has been approved. So I will wait for that window,…

Thanks for the ideas. I'll try them today

seemed the Polling Setting timeout setting took a while to apply. After 30 mins the polled OID returned results
-
Thanks Rajpad. I did use that OID for display purposes for the network team to view time established. I guess you could create an Alert for a condition that fits your environment.
-
Hi Rajpad SW support informed me that the Forigate devices showing the error are not on the support device list. I did create a Undp, I used OID '1.3.6.1.2.1.15.3.1.2' which is "The BGP peer connection state.". But the alerting will not pick up a value for the 'BGPPEERSTATE' which I had set and 'Not equals 6'. We got this…

Limit the view to the 4 servers in 'View Limitation' by using 'Group of Nodes' or another means like Group (create a group and add the 4 nodes). Add the disk volume widget to the page. If you want 4 widgets with only 1 node on each widget. Edit the widget and add the node name in Filter Nodes
-
I managed to achieve this by using the SQL query variable
-
Thanks for the confirmation.

Hi there are Migration guides here - https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/orion_platform_migration_guide.htm
-
Thanks for the reply. Thats pretty much the same as I implemented a while back. I'll look at starting or jumping on a new feature request.
-
Seems this was a simple fix. I created the Network Sonar discovery Job with the Network selection using 'Subnets'. Changed this to one of the other options and (IP Range & IP Addresses) and the interfaces imported new interfaces on existing devices.

Defo licence We run plenty of Evals in a test enviroment and I have to work with removing evals etc and reinstall. Same servers remain down. You either to use a new Hostname/IP or delete from the PollingEngine Table. Reinstall eval and then you get your 30days again.
-
Fully upgraded with no issues at all. All upgraded and config wizards ran in just under 3 hours
-
Once you have your Groups set up and have the correct objects contained within each Group. Go to Manage Views, Select your View, Edit. Within the customize View. There is a View limitation button. Click Edit, and base the limitation on the correct Groups you have created.

I fixed my issues by deleting the problem ASA's and then re-adding the devices. The VPN Remote Access stats came back straight away and working well now.
-
Ran this fix this morning. Quite a number of rows where deleted. So must have lots of subscriptions. All Working great now https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Clear-Information-Service-Subscriptions
-
The tool looks good. I'll make a start and post the results Thanks
-
Private Internet Protocol must be enabled

No Probs. Case # - 00498438 support have suggested https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/forums/replypage/board-id/npm-discussions/message-id/145763 I'll go through logs today

You just purchase a HA licence for the secondary server. You install using the installer and select Scalability. Once installed. You go to licence manager within the web console and assign the HA licence.

Came across a new one yesterday. Not an issue. But when looking at creating a new Probe in an existing NetPath service. All probes but the MPE and APE servers only appeared to be selected. I had to run the 'Create Probe' to have the probes back in the list. ProbeID's remained the same. Existing Netpath Services and Probes…

Very soon, we have a big project of releasing a Site Topology map for all our sites using Orion Maps which is currently delayed due to the new features. Prod is MPE with HA x2 APE with HA x2 AWS SQL 2017 with 4 node AG cluster NPM, NCM with 450 devices and 100 servers
-
Did you Force Refresh on List Resources? run a network discovery on the device and see what resources show up (no need to add, you can cancel once you get the results)
-
I went through the configWizard logs and in my case it was because the NCM EVAL had ended and had issues getting the response back from the database . This was a test instance, so putting a process in place to remove any eval modules in the future.

Hi jblankjblank I have recently been working around this limitation for a requirement by the business. I have a remit to be able to show Topology dashboards with the ability to easily show (label) the device type. ie Firewall, Router, Access switch etc. So when this maps are used as a NOC. It will allow support with little…

This I already and has been part of the design. This was an added question due to working out disabling an alert in different region time zone. Thanks
-
Thanks for the help, that solved the issue.

I'm seeing some strange numbers here as well. Not for all ASA devices. But I think NPM is bringing back the data from the device where the number are being held. But it would be nice to know which calculation is used or how these numbers are gathered. Device showing 29K connections from the platform Subview The stats in…
