Got there in the end. Seemed to be because I used the search function instead of selecting Solarwinds in the organisation first.

Thank you

In all honesty, the knowledge on how to choose a default timeline on any new page. But I imagine most requester's would want within 24 hours. Thanks

Perfect. Forgot that I only added the Windows server as a NetPath Service probe. Added the node to be managed under manage agents and able to select the Windows Server in Maps. Thanks

Installed and Ran the wizard successfully in one environment. 2nd environment, installed and ran the wizard successfully on one server in the HA and wizard failed on the 2nd server which has brought the SW We console down on both servers. Working on it now. But will prob open a case

That's a different error. The Poller has been changed once and somehow been moved back. The error is that there is a record in the DB and I need to delete that record and that should hopefully allow me to change the poller again. I have to change the memory poller on 58 nodes. So I know the checker is fine

Thanks the reply David. I'll go through the logs and see why these servers will not perform a NetPath check when my existing agent will.

THanks for the reply. Sorry I must have not expalined the original post. My Solarwinds modules are all up and running. It seems NCM cannot quite handle the IPS O/S very well ( in my expeirence). NCM views the device as a unknown (even thou in NPM see's the device as a Cisco IPS Device) The default way NCM backups config is…

Thanks a lot for that. Worked a treat. I don't suppose you know of a way of adding the ability of changing the ssh to launch putty that is installed on the local workstation the website is ran from.

Thanks for all the replies. I revisited this morning. Created a custom property, tagged the interfaces I needed to alert on. Created an alert that targeted only the custom property tag and created the Variable in the alert trigger action. Works perfect. Thanks

cheers for the confirmation.

Thanks for the confirmation. I was looking at a reg entry for the 2nd SW platform to communicate with. But didn't look like there was a work around. Coming from a SCOM background. I just hoped.

HI I have been testing this and created a new menu tab in version 2019.2 and went through each upgrade to 2020.2 HF1 and I can confirm that the new custom menu tab was never removed. I also changed the name of 'My Dashboards' and was not overwritten. I now have tested (in version 2020.2) adding 40 URL's to a new custom tab…

@"jblankjblank" thanks for the confirmation.

This query has stopped working since upgrading to 2020.2. Not had time to solve. But has anyone come across which tables are now used? Thanks

With all the new ways of upgrading and the installer improvements. When using the offline installer. Do you have to run the Config Wizard every time you finish an upgrade for each server?
-
I upgraded a small Test environment with no issues. This was using the offline installer Servers upgraded where MPE: running NPM, NCM and IPAM APE:running NPM, NCM and IPAM x2 AWS servers Remote SQL running AG Groups (SQL 2017). I'm expecting (hoping) a hassle free upgrade to PROD. But will be looking at installing log…

Set limitations on the View for single groups or Groups of Groups.

when you add a Group to an Orion Map. You are adding the Group as an object. Any new object that is populated in the group will be contained and contribute to the Orion Map Group Status and you can view the objects contained within a Group by drilling into the Group from the Map. But when you add devices (Nodes/Interfaces)…

Re-deloy in bulk from the webconsole and this will overwrite the previous setting pointing the server you enter

Check the the original BGP Neighbor is the one that came back up and not a new connection that is established. I have found that the original is still in an idol state If this is not the case. Post your trigger condition and the Routing Neighbor table

Worked it out. Seems to be any device connected via a APE. Change to MPE and all is fine. will wait to hear what the issue with the APE's and update the thread.
-
Have you enabled TLS on the SQL server?
-
Upgraded MPE, 2 APE's, 3 HA servers and 3 AWS servers. Only issues discovered is missing data from the Classic Charts. Did have a failed upgrade with the installer not being able to shutdown the services. But I reset the server and attempted again. No chart data since upgrading to 2019.4HF4

If anyone wants to know, the table is ActiveDiagnosticsDetail

* Quick Maps and Loaded onto quick View. Love Maps. Just missing custom labels * Are you still using features from Network Atlas that you NEED to have in Orion Maps? Custom Labeling * Why is a feature like Maps or Atlas important to you and your organization? What if you didn't have this feature? Monitoring department are…

Managed to resolve this issue. I ran a report of the agent plugin extensions and spotted that the Netpath plugin had not successfully installed. I copied the plugin files from a working server. Restarted the Agent service. This then resulted in a Jobfailure status in Netpath. Looking in the Netpath logs, there was an error…

Still having major issues with this. Would seem I can create the Netpath service from any of my 45 agents and have no issues. But is still showing the Grey unknown status from the 2 dev servers. I am currently going through the process of getting the AV exclusions in for the 2 servers. The Windows firewall is off and I…

Would seem my second point is fixed by not using the new "New Manage Entities Page" and using the "Legacy" page. Think this a bug with New Manage Entities Page as I had the same issue when using a user with full admin rights
